I have a 2001 115 Yamaha 4 stroke. Before I took the boat out before the winter I noticed the boat hesitated and bogged down. I thought plugs and oil change would take care of the problem. Well it did not. I seems to have spark and compression. I ran it on a 6 gal. tank of clean fuel to eliminate the fuel as a culprit. Still no success! I had the fuel injectors checked and they were clogged. After they were cleaned and shipped back I installed them and the boat ran better. The boat boggs down around 4200 rpms with the 6 gal. tank! When I run the boat on the primary fuel tank the rpms don't get as high and boat boggs down at lower rpms. What else can I check? I see on other threads they talk about the VST filter. Where is that and what is involved? Is there other possible causes?
