F40 or F50 Powerhead Rotation

Can anyone tell me the rotation of the powerhead (rotation of the lower unit input shaft) on a standard F40 or F50 4 stroke?

to the best of my recolection, hey all rotate the same way, clockwise looking from the top.

Thanks! I am contemplating laying out a small inboard propulsion unit using a HATZ 1D90W diesel with a heavy outboard lower unit however, the HATZ engine is counterclockwise. May have to look into other makes of motors, Evinrude, Honda, Thotasu, etc.

they all rotate the same way, you maybe able to sort something out with a counter rotation gearbox maybe, but I am not too sure it is the way to go, how about a L/H prop on the standard gearbox??? but you may still run into drama with the drive going the wrong way and thrust washers/bearings?
