I have a F100 Yamaha outboard. I recently got this service and had some work done on the trim motor, the mechanic apparently changed the brushes in this motor as thy were worn out. Before the trim motor did not work at all now it does trim up and down correctly however when it comes to a stop it will not re-start, the only way to re-start the motor is to give it a small tap with a spanner, this however isnt very convienient when you are out at sea!!
Does anyone know what the preoblem is with this, is it a simple fix or will I have to bring it back to the mechanic who serviced it?
Thanks for any help
