Just bought a 21' pontoon boat with a 2001 T50 4-stroke. The "T" indicates 'High-thrust'.
Reading the Yamaha owner's Manual for the 2001 T50 mentions that I have a 'high-thrust' engine but doesn't really say exactly what that means. I do see Boat/US sells a Yamaha aluminum 3-blade high-thrust prop (14dx11p) for about $195.
What does 'high-thrust' mean to my pontoon boat? Does it accelerate quicker, or what?? Will top speed be greater, or less, than a 'regular' prop of the same dia/pitch??
Thanks
