Low Pressure Pumps OX66

Looks like I have 3 lp pumps on my 250, motor is running fine, I bought the engine used so I don't know if they have ever been changed, is this something I should do before I have problems, also do they sell a aftermarket pump or is it a dealer part, thanks

I will help a little. I have a v6 225 yammie,and i have changed mine,two pumps and one prime starter pump(I think it helps at wide open),the best prices I have found ,after seaching the web, is right here at boats.net.I change mine every other year,and carry a spare on board.

I only use Yamaha stuff.
I know there are some aftermarket stuff out but I have heard they dont last long but I have no personal experience with it.

Stay with yam oem

DO NOT buy an aftermarket pump...I bought 3 Mallory pumps and had nothing but trouble.... all 3 failed within weeks of each other.. (within a 3 week period)
