2004 150hp HPDI

My 150 HPDI has a weak charge going into the batteries. The batteries are new this year. The charge seems to fall off the more rpm's I run . On my dash gauge it shows I'm discharging at 12.4. When I put my volt meter on the batteries themselves when the engine is running it reads the same as the dash gauge. I checked my batteries today without the engine running and they are weak and need to be charged. Has anyone ever had this issue and does anyone have any suggestions? Mike

Don't have this motor but in my shop manual it gives a step by step trouble shooting procedure ending with failed charge coil.

Tucker, Would that also be known as a retifier or the stator?
