I just purchased a 05 Polar 2110 Bay w/ Yamaha F150
I dont have much money and I am technical so I will be doing most of the work.
Here's what I have so far...
I took the boat out and I have a hard time getting it up to 4200rpms
It will get to 3800 easy but i have to play with the throttle to get it up there.
I know this is too low and can be damaging. Its starving for fuel.
I need to clean my injectors. Can someone show me how to clean them? (I know how to remove them)
I will be replacing the old squeeze ball and installing a racor 320r-rac-01
(Its a 10 micron filter with a glass bowl and drain)
If anyone knows of a better separator please let me know.
I dont want to be adding crap to my nice clean injectors.
What else to the fuel system should I do to keep it in order?
I do use StarTron at every fill up as I am using 89 pump gas and we have nothing but ethanol here...
I will be changing the plugs and the oil & oil filter.
I watched a video on how to remove the oil and the guy stuck some clear tool in the drain hose and the oil came out. Where can I find this tool?
Any recommendations on the oil filter? I was thinking Yamaha OEM?
I have already inspected and changed the lower unit oil.
I was curious where I could find the diagnostic cable that hooks up from the outboard to my laptop. (I am sure its a must for proper maintenance)
Is there anything else I am missing?
