  • Trim Motor Replacement 92 130

I have a 1992 Yamaha 130 that needs the trim motor replaced. I've ordered the part which should be here in a few days. I've read how to do this from taking the motor off to pulling the motor bracket. Have any of you had to do this? I have no idea how to get to the bolt tuck back in the corner by the transom and the bracket. Any help will be appreciated. I'll take photos and post everything so to help somebody in the future.

I managed to disconnect the trim/tilt assembly from the brackets with out removing the engine or brackets from the transom. Even though I couldn't pull the assembly out from between the two brackets, I did have plenty of room to work on and remove the trim motor. Here's where the the new problem starts. Two of the three bolts broke off, and I can't get them out! I've tried vise grips, an easy out which broke off on the front bolt. Can you guys let me know what I need to do to remove the two bolts, or give me a few options.

Drilling and re-tapping or heli-coil is my thoughts, but trying to remove the broken easy-out is going to be a problem as it is to hard to drill.
You may be better off pulling the unit and taking to a machine shop
