  • Water Cooling Question - 50 TLRB

I have twin 50 TLRB 4 stroke carbed units and both motors were recently serviced. My mechanic brought to my attention that the starboard motor may have something clogging the section where the water cooling hose comes out of the motor and t's into the lower unit. The water pees fine out of the motor when runnning and at idle. My question is, where the water feeds into the lower unit, does it cool any moving parts below or does it just exit in the exhaust? He said it would require a lot of time to get to the elbow that the hose ties to as it is inaccessible where it is located. He said this is the reason the starboard motor jets more water out than the port motor.

    Any advice would be appreciated.

Not sure what hose that would be.
