F225 Four Stroke Prop Seal

S/N LF225TXRD Port motor dripping oil just forward of the prop. Last summer I had a bad lower unit seal. Had repaired including a new drive shaft due to some rust and the next week the seal at the top of the shaft failed. Repair partly covered by factory with a sleeve being added due to a pitting problem. Boat is lift kept with under 200 hours on '05 motors. I've given up on the closest Tech and want to pull the prop, shaft etc myself (no trailer). I have the O rings and oil seals. Will I need the ball bearing too? Do I need the special tools the tech manual specifies?
