04 150 vmax problems

i have a2004 vmax 150. carried out last week and ran fine. 2days later went to fish tourney and the motor would cut out above 4500 rpms. seems like it floods at idle but starves out at full throttle. drained tank and carbs. refilled w/ fresh gas and changed plugs. still doesw same thing. do these carbs have problems w/ needles sticking or fuel pump issues?
