  • O2 Sensor Bolt substitute . . .

In servicing the O2 sensor on my 2000 250 ox66, one of the bolts holding the sensor block broke off. As it was under 6 ft. lbs of torque, my belief is that it was fatigued. In any case, as the boat is needed for a regatta this weekend, and no local dealers have the part in stock, I'm wondering if I can purchase a substitute locally, and if so, what material would work? (It's not that I wouldn't buy here, but overnighting a part that's less than two bucks seems, well . . .

Any thoughts or advise would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Greg

Snapped at 6 ft lbs?? Hmmm, sounds like shitfisting to me. Metric bolt, HD should have or local motorcycle store. Then order correct part. Did you salvage the gasket? If I recall the stock gasket was 2-pieces and the replacement was 1-piece.
