i had a new 40hp 2stroke installed on my boat 2003 i then bought the digital tach,trim gage,oilgauge,etc gauge how in the heck do i hook this up the control was another 400 bucks and has no paperwork with it it has 10 wires coming out of it i've seen 16+ft wirering harnesses for sale at 130.00+ dollars but what are all those wires on the contol why are there no instructions on anything i bought from yamaha

Go back to the dealer where you bought the control (704?) and the digital gauges. What you need is the rigging instructions for both. I think they should have provided the instructions, but you may have to pay for them too.

all you need is the harness from the tach to the motor and another harness to the control box, 6y5-83553-00-00 for the tach and 64d-82553-50-00 (16.4 ft) for trim and oil level.Comment
