  • overheating when *****ing Z200TLRY

I am experiencing overheating of my Z200TLRY 2000 model when *****ing. I have same cooling water discharge as when starting and running at higher speed. If I shut the engine down and then restart the alarm may still sound but if I increase rpm for a moment the alarm goes off and engine will run normal at higher speeds.

I would appreciate any help available.

clean the pressure control valve and replace the grommet.
would also be a good time to install a water pump kit and new t-stats.

      grommet

I keep hearing and reading about replacing the grommet. I am not sure what that is. Can someone point me to it?

The Pressure control valve is located near the bottom of the riser and acts as a check valve to keep proper amount of water in the heads. It's the main hose that feeds the water into the rest of the engine. My C150 has it located just below the ignition cover on the lowest back part of the engine. Look it up online using the parts system and you can find an exploded view of your engine...Best of luck !

        PS
If you engine is already equipped with a washout hose, then follow it to the pcv housing
