off and on spark (90hp yamaha)

My outboard will randomly lose spark and then 5 minutes later will have spark. I've wingled around the wire harness while turning the enging over and using a timing gun i can see that theres spark off and on repeadetly. so i think its in the wire harness some where. A short maybe. Maybe thats not it, idk. If u have any answers or ideas please help.

unhook main 10 pin harness and run, thatll tell you if its in the front end or not

yea i did that already. i took apart the harness and jumped that engine with a screwdriver and it had sparkvconsistently. so its somewhere in the front part of the harness, correct?

could be bad kill switch,key switch, or wiring itself
