I apologize If Im using this forum wrong, but here is what Ive found on the problem Ive had with my t8 kicker power trim motor. The first problem was that the motor was burned up. I ordered a new motor (just the electric motor) and put it on, and same thing happened. So, after I purchased a second one, this time I took time and troubleshoot a little more. i found that the main helm switch for tilt , was intermittingly sticking on up.There are two switches in parallel, one on the engine and one at the helm. I didnt know because it was doing it when I was gone, away from boat, and If i left the main power on. I was working on boat when all of a sudden the kicker motor started tilting up, and I wasnt pushing the switch. I removed the switch and tested it with my ohm meter, and sure enough, it would soetimes remain contact when released. This was causing motor to run untill it was burning up.
