  • 1 gauge vs a complete instrumentation panel

Hello there gents, my name is Steve. I am brand new to this forum. This looks to be a great place with alot of knowledge and knowhow that will be able to help out guys like me. I just a bought a 2011 G3 boat V170 guide with a 70 hp Yamaha and had the console option put in. Now I would like to add some gauges or a gauge, but it appears that there is not alot of room on my console for a complete instumentation panel. Most of the room is on top of the dash and I would have to make some kind of riser if I were to use this area. My questions are these: When it comes to gauges, should I stay with OEM Yamaha or are there good after market gauges?

What are your thoughts on Yamaha Command Link gauge? The gauge appears to have several gauges built into it. Or would it be better if I would stay with individual dedicated gauges ie: 1 for hour meter, 1 for oil pressure, 1 for oil temp and 1 for trim angle? How complicated is it to hook up the command link tach gauge vs the individual gauges?

    Thanks in advance,

    Steve

then go with the 2 gauge square comand link package and the water pressure/speed option.
will give something like 32 engine/speed paremeters.

            incredibly, dirt simple.
            very very easy.
however boats.net would be of more assistance than me.
            I simply fix them.
            boats.net actually sells parts.
