I have a 8 h.p. kicker, T8plrb, twice now Ive had to take it apart only to find that the electric motor gets burned up by oil from the pump getting into it, by leaking past the lip seal into motor housing. Ive replaced the motor assmy # 69-G43880 only to have it do same thing in just a few trips. When it works, it tilts up and down and holds fine, but soon it shorts out and i find that oil has leaked into the electric motor , burning it up. Is the hyd. pump by passing and forcing fluid into and past the lip seal? Im afraid to order a new motor assmy ($380) again and have same results.
