I bought a boat with a 1989 115 hp 2 stroke. It may have been sitting for a while. When I did a compression test, it checked out real nice. I hooked up a remote tank with new pre mix gas and it won't start. I sprayed a little starter fluid in the spark plug holes, and it started rlight up, but I turned it off quick(no oil in the starter fluid).
I am going to let my mechanic do the work. I want want it fixed with ultra reliablity as my objective. Here's my list:
1) rebuild carbs
2) relace fuel pump
3) replace water impeller
4) replace lower unit lube
What else should I have him check/replace?
