  • 2000 C60 2two cycle, power trim & tilt removal

I need a new electric motor for my power tilt & trim unit on a (C 60TLRY) which is a Yamaha 2000 two cycle engine. I was wondering if it was possible to get to the screws on the electric motor or remove the power tilt and trim unit from the engine without first removing the engine from the boat . To take the engine off first is to much weight for me.

May be able to loosen the power unit and tilt it out enough to get to back bolt on trim motor.

Could not get trim screws on electric motor without removing the PT&T unit from between the motor support. Rodbolt17 has a method on an old thread that tells how to
unbolt the starboard bracket, slide it over and make space to remove the
complete unit. His method worked like a charm for me. If you want to use
his method do a seach of his old threads and read.I do not remember the exact title of that thread.
