I have been told that this gas that has add ethol is asking for trouble on the older boat motors. what should we do?

Try to locate a petrol station that sells ethanol-free petrol

Use Stabil Marine all the time and install a fuel/water separator type filter(Walmart/Atwood $27), maybe replace very old fuel lines and hoses with newer/modern hoses. Both my motors are older(1990 and 1999) and I don't have any problems with the gas with ethanol in it. There is a lot of mostly unfounded ethanol paranoia out here, mostly from old gas laying in the fuel tank for weeks and months! Good Luck!
