Mounted an f40 with a digital tach. Tach and trim indicator work fine. After the key is turned on, oil and temp. lights come on for a few seconds, then go out.At no time is does the buzzer sound. I can make the buzzer sound by grounding a gray wire that breaks out of the 703 con*****er with the tach wires. If I disconnect the lanyard and crank the engine no buzzer sounds, I was told this is how to check the system. The 4 wire plug at the engineis connected by harness to the tach. The other 4 pin plug/2 wires is not connected to anything. Not sure where it would connect even if I had a harness. What do you think.
