Will this Yamaha Tach work on my motor?

I have a 1992 Yamaha Pro60,I have the chance to pick up a Yamaha tach. The # on the box is 6Y8-835OT-11-00.My question is what years will this tach. work on but more specifically,will it work on my motor? Any feedback would be helpful!
