hello
on my yamaha 2005 f150, today i had an engine failure, the 2 top camshafts journals seized up in the head, causing a timing belt to break, the camshafts are locked up in the head.
i took the head cover off and the camshafts off as well and i can clearly see the top journals are damaged/ melted .
lack of lubrication i guess, so i took the counterbalancing weights off and i found the green plastic pinion blown apart.
i guess the debris have clogged the oil pump, causing the camshafts to seize in the head.
i am right?
what is your experience about that?
i am going to take the engine all apart to see if the bottom end is damaged.
any good powerhead for sale?
thank you for any help.
