  • 250 SHO outboard Throttle Position Sensor

On the 250 SHO Throttle Position Sensor (TPS), the component that is attached to the throttle cable...there is two alignment arrows ... is this the Full Throttle position?
Said another way, when you are at wot with your throttle, does these arrows align or does your throttle go past this point. If so does anyone know the reason for these arrows?

    Thanks to all in advance.

I am trying to determine and confirm the correct WOT setting of the hot foot linkage to the TPS...

once again, its NOT a TPS.
        its an APS.
there should be 2 marks, one when the aps is on the idle stop, the other when its at WOT.
the TPS is located in the throttle body assy.

Yes...you are correct. I miss named the part. It is the Accelerator Position Sensor (APS).

My question is the WOT setting. The APS goes considerably past the point that the arrow aligns at WOT. When I checked the resistance range of the APS, it was within spec and the resistance does continue to increase after the arrow aligns.

It may not matter anyway because the manual says the ECM learns the full open and full closed position.

I just want to make sure that the hotfoot is adjusted properly.

Thanks for your reply and any other input.
