YDS software - can't find database

New to this forum, but looking for some help. I have YDS 1.22 and can't get it loaded on my latptop. Actually it loads OK, but gives the message that it "can't find the database on the disc". My laptop is running Vista but I have it set to run the YDS in XP Compatability mode. BTW, it runs fine on my desktop which is running XP. Can't really take my desktop out to my boat so any advice on how to make it work on the Vista laptop? Thanks

it simply wont.
your going to need version 1.3.
your version is dirt old.

Thanks for the reply. I got the software with the boat/motors. This is the first time I have tried to use it. Do you know if I can get a free upgrade from Yamaha or do I have to buy the new software. I have read (on this forum) that they don't sell the software any more.

the software is avalible at any Yamaha dealership.
if your in good with them they may even let you copy the disc to your drive.
the diagnostic cables are still mostly backordered.
