Starter for a 2004 250 vmax hpdi

Are there any other options such as rebuild or a place to find used starter on net for a 2004 250 hpdi vmax. I have searched other areas online and cant find any option except a new one for 425.00 plus shipping.

What happened to the one you had?

I would take it to a rebuild shop and have it checked out and repaired if there is something wrong with it

Check Ebay motors, there's always tons of starters there. Is it interchangable with any other model?

starter for vz 250 2004

The starter is going out, and the mechanic I took it to gave me the price on the stater 425.00. Also told me with this yr motor there were no other options except a new one , I was just wondering if anyone else had this issue and knew if they could be rebuilt or a place to find a used one. I have looked on ebay but unable to locate one that matches mine. It looks like just gonna have to bite the bullet. Thanks for the suggestions anyway.
