well guys i had to break down and was reffered a mobil marine tech he came out today i was at work but he called and said it's my fuel pump it never lost ground on him but fuel pressure was droping and stalled he said he checked the voltages at pump and all seemed ok when first fired it up it runs fine then shortly it starts running worse he also told me he grounded the pump the motor stayed running but would start running like it was sick fuel pressure bouncing around up and down he disconnected the wires from the pump and wired it hot bypassing the relays and other control components and still ran the same way. he feels the pump is draging or starting to lock up and the hicups and rough ideling then stalling is because the fuel pump is not keeping constant fuel pressure. rod or yam or anyone does this make sense or is he guessing at the issue..thanks for any feedback

Good thinking, It is always better to test and make sure of your problem before replacing parts.
        Just my thoughts.

          a mobile monkey

          dang

why did I spend so many years geting actual training????
I should have just been a mobile monkey.

then I could make engines run.

          sometimes.

No issues. Little more than spring freshening. More like 100 hr service. Got a bad 02 sensor and I was searching rodbolt's posts and saw this one. Looks like a real beaut and was courious as to the outcome. Looks like one of those things that would drive you crazy.

Right now I'm changing trim seals and there's a freakin snap ring that holds the rod wiper in that's giving me a fit. Digging at it with the dental pick and it just won't spring loose. Doesn't have the little holes for standard snap ring plyers. I'm searching the net for some type of special tool. Never been stumped like this on a freakin snap ring. JB, I think I remember reading you have 200's. They don't have this stupid snap ring.

Got 'em out. Had to put the caps in a vice to hold them steady and they just popped out. Yep, know what you mean about the grease. I also put it on the steering ram. Does look a little ghetto but I think it helps.
