Hi,
I recently bought a used 2hp Yamaha outboard for my Canoe. It was running badly when I got it and the previous owner told me it needed a new carby. I bought a new carby and fitted it and it seems to be running nicely.
So the problem is when I took it out for it's maiden vouage the engine was running fine but I was bearly moving. I proceeded to increase the rev's and it didn't move any faster. But it did start to make a bad RANT RANT noise from the base of the motor were the leg starts as i increased the rev's and load.
I researched and have come up with the thought it might be the connecting rod slipping.
Anyone have any idea's form me??
Thanks for the help....
