8hp motor-15hp carby

Hi, i asked a few people and have been told to put a 15hp carby on it and it will perform as a 15 hp as the motor apparently is the same as the 15hp. is this true or not. cheers.

I have no idea if it is or not, but look up all the parts on the 2 and see what is different.

OK thanks ill look into it and see how exspensive it will be to do if not maybe sell the 8hp and buy a bigger motor but will be a few years old due to tight budget. cheers.

in the US market the 8 and the 9.9/15 are TOTALLY different engines.
about all they share is yamaha silver blue paint.

ok i guess ill be selling the 8hp for a bigger motor then. its only done no more than 10hrs running but need something in the range of 15 - 30 hp so time to sell and buy. Thanks.
