I have a 2000 8hp yamaha four stroke short shaft motor with around 20 hours on it....Can anyone tell me what it may be worth?

my guess would be $700-1000..but I do not mes with small motors much so I am just guessing. also I have found that different parts of the country could have big price fluctuations. But a 10 year old motor should be worth about %40 of the original price if it is in great condition. again just a guess...search your local sale papers or Craigs list. and look for prices -
