Yamaha 704 remotes

I have 250 hp hpdi outboards; on one 704 remore, the gear shift works, but not the throttle. How do I remove/and or repair the control unit? Does someone have a diagram that I can use to check the condition of the throttle cable at the remote unit?

ensure its the cable by removing cowling and watching fuel linkage when moving handle. if so, remove 4 black screws from 704 cover, push one handle forward,one reverse, if dual, lift off cover. remove mount screws to console etc,lift 704 out,theres 3 thru bolts2 on opposing sides at top and one at center on bottom, remove those. theres 3 machine screws on the black plastic covers, remove to access the cable ends.
