Assuming it's seized. Yea, know what you mean, mine was really tight, screw driver slot was worn. I had luck putting the screw driver in the screw and taping it with a hammer and it freed up. Haven't done the other one yet. If you got it loose all you need to do is take out the circlip and it should screw right out.
