battery cable size

hi, i am installing a second battery ,and a main battery switch on my boat.the distance from the new switch location to the transom is 17 feet. the motor is a yamaha2005 115 hp txrd 4 stroke.does any body know how much cuurent my starter draws,and what would be the proper wire size for that distance. i am adding 12 feet to the present battery set up by doing this job ,the wire size of the existing cables are 1/0. thanks for any replies ted b.

You can use AWG2 cable up to 22ft on a F115 engine, over 22ft use AWG0 cable
