Is the bottom end of a 30 hp 2 stroke interchangeble short long shaft as short shaft is obosolete on one parts source I was on . model 30ersy

the drive shaft length is roughly 5" different between the two.

So that piece cannot be changed also and it made to work , making it a long shaft stead of a short. Thanks

the cases and gearing is the same, the difference is in the length of the drive shaft between the water pump and the engine splined end,
they are 5" different.
