Hello everyone.
Just a few months ago, I realised that the gear oil, was coming out in a creamy colour. The lower unit of my 115 CETO 6E5 L390809 (model year unknown) was air-pressed and bubbles were coming out of every orifice in the leg !!
So, I ordered and installed (professionally) all the seals needed to do the job right. Unfortunately, just 20 hours of operation post-installation of the new seals, I checked the oil, and again it was contaminated with water.
I would like to read through your suggestions.
1. Order another set of seals and flanges and reinstall them again
2. Buy a new lower casing, install all the current mechanical parts in it with new seals
3. Buy a used lower leg comlete with all the mechanical parts
4. Buy a completely new non original Yamaha lower leg
As you can see I have not included in the options purchasing of a new Yam lower leg, since the price tag is over the roof !!
My target is to spend some money BUT have a bullet-proof lower leg for the following years to come
