Yamaha warning alarm

I have a late 80's (88 or 89 i think) 70 hp yamaha and the audible alarm is not sounding. I have tested it by disconnecting pink/black wires and shorting them with no luck.... my question is where exactly is the alarm module located so i can inspect/ replace it?
ANY HELP GREATLY APPRECIATED...

depends on the keyswitch/control box assy yours is rigged with.
when testing, turn key on,engine off.
dissconect the pink wire from the thermoswitch.
short the pink wire to engine ground.
the actual horn is a simple 12V buzzer.
the yellow wire is key on 12V and the pink wire is switched to ground Via the thermoswitch in the cyl head.
