Rough running 200hp SW (1995)

Tried to get out on the chuck today but could not leave the dock.
My 200hp main started good and idled up nicely but stumbled and bumbled at higher RPM.
There is Stabil in the tank and was last run Nov 16. At which time some of the same symptoms arose but only in gear.
Fuel water filter has been changed, the tank is not very full.
Very low hours on the unit and has been reliable and bullet proof to this point.
ANY ideas as to what may be ailing me?

For starters I would run on a portable tank with fuel that you know is good. Did you add Sta-Bil blue? May have neen too late if you already had the issue in Nov. May have crude in carbs.

Stabil red. It was not more than a couple of weeks before that the boat was fueled and running fine.

Check fuel pressure and vacuum at problem RPM to see if there is a supply problem.
If not, then probably will need to clean carbs.

Would not hurt to make sure compression and spark is good on all cylinders. Remember if it is running lean because of fuel issues then it can and will hurt the pistons/cylinders if you run it like that.
