Are Early '90's Yamaha and Suzuki Remotes interchangeable

I have a 1994 Yamaha 150hp that we are putting on my brother's center console boat. His boat has a "94 Suzuki 115 with recessed top mount Suzuki control in place. My side mount Yamaha control will not work in this application. Can I use his Suzuki control with my Yamaha motor possibly with simple wiring identification and modification?

some will.
the wiring wont but your sidemount can be stripped and the switch mounted in the console.
can you post a pic of the top mounted control?
