I just had some wiring work done on my boat and now my gauges are coming on when I turn on my battery switch. My speedometer has a full display and the Tach has what I would describe as a ghost, or half visible image on it. This happens without the key in the switch. The person who did the wiring checked everything per the manual and told me everything is hooked up correctly but something is wrong. I believe there is a bad ground but have not been able to find it. Any help would be appreciated.

Sounds like he hooked the gauges up to the red wire (12 V battery power)instead of the yellow (key on power)or there is a short in the wiring. not sure why the half screen on tach.
Probably need to find a shop that knows what they are doing -
