There is a tolerance spec in the manual. As a rule do reeds usually were beyond tolerance at 900 hrs? What are the symptoms of worn reeds? Is this an item that should be checked?

If reeds are gapped open more than 0.2 MM then replace them. The original factory reeds hold up very well, if engine is running and idling ok then probably ok.
