out cuts in and out on high rpm

hi there can anyone tell or have any idears, i have a yamaha 30 hp cv 2stroke 2007 the motor runns fine untill i accelorate and am up in the 80% upwards it cuts in and out or sounds like theres a miss in the motor ,ive also taken of fuel lines and relaced with clear ones and have no air getting into them could this be a fuel or electrical problem and does anyone know any ways of checking or aliminating or had anything like this happen

Sounds fuel related. Bet you got gummed up carbs. Do you have ethanol fuel in your area? Did you drain the carb bowls before laying up?

cheers thanks mate i did take the carby off and it does look very gummy and is sticky fuel round here might be crap but the motor has never realy rested that much and stays on the boat ill try some carby cleaner in it cheers

garuntee you its a clogued fuel jet...on mine its done the same thing and every time it was what i suggested. try THAT specific part of the carb
