  • F100 analog tacho and warning lamp wiring

    Hi Guys,

I have just fitted a F100 4 stroke (older carby model) to replace a 90 2 stroke and I have some questions re the wiring. I have a 703 control installed and I can see how I would get the tach working. But, the new analogue tach for the 4 stroke as two warning lights, one oil pressure and one temp. The old one has three lights for oil level in the tank. I can't see how I can wire the oil and temp warning lights as I cant find a plug in the F100 to connect them to. I think I have found a spare grey wire for trim. The 4 stroke tach has a 4 pin white connector which has only two cables connected, one each for oil and temp. I have a long harness that plugs into that tach plug, but can't for the life of me see whare I would connect it to the motor.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

    Gus.

post the model number of the 90 and the F100.
however by carby it leads one to believe this isnt US market stuff so we may ask for a picture.

      Hi rodbolt17,

The F100 is a 67F, it is the same as your 2002 F100TXRA, the 90 is the same as your 1996 90TLRU. I have checked the diagrams and specs from a US site.

      Hope this helps, and thanks.

      Gus,
