'04 Yamaha 70HP 2Stroke- Firing Problems/Alarm

I have only owned one boat and have been lucky enough to not have any issues thus far...until now.

For most of you... this may seem to be a juvenile problem/question ,but here we go.

Tried to do some duck hunting this evening, but had motor problems.

My ALARM is sounding once I turn the key to the ON position.

My motor will attempt to start, but no POP or FIRE.

It is shooting water...it just won't fire.

I have checked my oil level (good), my emergency shut off at key (it's ok), squeezed my fuel bulb, opened fuel vent.

Just not sure what to check next...Any tips?

yo may have issues.
that system isnt designed to self test.
google a home made spark tester or obtain one.
start by testing spark.
