Tach Taching Out
I have a 2000 Yam150 carb. just recently when I turn on the ignition the tach neddle peggs out with/without engine running and stays until turned off.Any ideas

Thanks for the reply,No info on tach but it has three wires Red,Green,Yellow coming out of the back,I unplugged one at a time with switch on and unplugging the yellow the niddle went back to 0.Comment

did you read the troubleshooting section?
Yellow is key on 12v power on Yamaha's
Red is 12 battery power normally
Green is signal to the tach
You may try moving the switch on the tach back and forth a few times to make sure the switch is making good contactComment
