Figured out my first flub 17mm is fill not screw lol. Maybe this tilt is just fine though the ram seal is twisted. Last night I tried to drain the fluid out yamaha through 10mm hose on bottom. The wrench didnt want to move put a plastic pipe on there not sure if I messed this up. Wrench is slipping on nut pretty good. Bango fitting is leaking very slight out bottom. Should I get open ended rachet type wrench and try tightening. I could try rtv underneath to stop leak not wanting to put this stuff in lake.

that 17mm hex is the fill port.
you may have made a very expensive mistake attacking the wrong part with the wrong tool.
tear it up to bad and you will find most techs cant fix it and that unit is about 2600 dollars in the box.
after some years in salt those stainless fittings may or may not come out even with oxy/acetylyne.
might be best to consult manual FIRST, ask questions SECOND, consult manal again, scratch, ask again, THEN and only then, bust out a wrench.
I do this on a weekly basis.
jim bobs brother-in-laws second cousins ex husband got lucky once and made a 48 ford AN run once.
after that he is a tech that is scared of nothing.
if you can post a pic I can tell you what I would do in that situation.
