bear with me. this may take a few posts.
first, IDENTIFY what model your working on, its IMPERATIVE.
V4 is pretty much V4 however they added the lock collar and retainer assy in 1995.
V6 covers the 2.6L carbed, however in 1995 they added the lock collar and retainer assy.
all the collar assy does is holds the drive shaft steady and eliminates a low speed(idle) knock. other than that, its actually irrelavent.
V4 and 2.6L carb and EFI have a speedo pitot tube that must be dissconected prior to lower unit removal, left hand cases may or may not have this depending on year of production but its easy to simply look.
HPDI and 3.1L v6.
did not use a pitot tube dissconect.
F200 and V F motors up do not use a pitot tube dissconnect.
now yall see why the seloc and clymers and even my posts get a bit jiggy ?
