I have a 2003 Yamaha 2 stroke and have a chance to purchase a 2008 Four stoke, both are 90 hp. Is this a stright up swap? Will the same controls, gauges etc...for the 2 stroke work? Both are the same shaft length.

yes only if you have the Yamaha tach.,, you will have to reset the dip switchs on the tach.its also assuming the tach is a 2001 or newer model.

then all you need to do is switch the tach dip switchs from two stroke to 4 stroke.
