I am looking for detailed instructions for the replacement of the impeller, Specifically how to remove the collar on top of the impeller. Any help with parts would also be helpful. Thanks Eric

Retaing collar

long screw driver or pry bar put it on top of shift rod and under collar should pop off sometimes there a bear and you have take a chisel and cut it off

I use a pair of pliers and screwdriver always replace both pieces

actually, the easist way.
place the cup back on the impeller, use the cup as a fulcrum for two screwdrivers.
some get stuck. thats when,at 85/hr, I use a small very sharp chisiel,,a 32Oz ball peen hammer, and simply cut the collar.
usually I can do it without damaging the plastic retainer.
wont say what it does to the left hand when ya miss.
