I have an older (2002) round fuel managment guage that is not totaling fuel used properly. Is ther any way to troubleshoot this system? I have used separate measured fuel containers and believe the port sender it hanging up. It is a $350 replacment part and would like another way to test it.

so when you change to port it reads '0' ?
you can open sender and clean
also ohm out sender harness -
the gauge can be calibrated, the instructions are in the rigging guide.
if you get a 0 reading then start by inspecting the harness.
also inspect your sender, if it has 3 screws on the bottom its bad, 4 screws and its acceptable.
its a fairly simple pulse generator.Comment
